The Gift Shop is now open. Come see our line of goods inspired by our winemaker’s favorite saying here.
Can’t get that hornpipe out of me mind these days. Busy time here at Loughmare as we’re dancin’ through the vineyards picking this year’s crop!
Our team has been gatherin’ them by hand into bins like these. Shane comes by with the tractor and loads up the bins to bring into the winery.
We were worried about the harvest with all the rain earlier this summer. But buíochas le Dia, we’ve had some fine warm weather over the past couple of weeks that’s been gettin’ the Brix (sugar levels) just right!
Sláinte! ~ Fergal
Alright there, enough of the Gaeilge. Don’t want to be frightening yez away. That there’s a reminder to me wife Brídgeen that today’s our wedding anniversary. Break out the champers, luv! Mo ghrá thú…

That’s Irish for a hundred thousand welcomes to ye. Here at Loughmare Winery we take pride in extending to you our heartiest of welcomes. After tasting our wines from native grapes, come dine in our gourmet cafe (with a real turf fire on chilly days), browse through our shop of New York-made gifts or take in the incredible view of Keuka Lake from our castle turret.
Our newly planted vinifera and hybrid vineyards will be expanding the range of quality wines we offer soon. During the summer, come to our Saturday evening céilithe featuring traditional Irish musicians from Rochester (with take-away from Shane’s “chipper”.) On Wednesdays, we feature Wine & Words — readings by poets and authors from the Finger Lakes Region followed by sweets from The Parlor City Patisserie and our dessert wines.
Come, watch us grow. Sláinte!
~ your hosts, Fergal & Brídgeen Griffin
